The four rules to remember in safe food handling and preparation are:
Clean.
Seperate.
Cook.
Chill.
If you remember these four rules you will be well on your way to preparing not only a tasty meal but a healthy one too!

Handling and preparing food is a big deal especialy when doing it for other people.
Rules and regulations dictating how to work with food were written by the USDA to help prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses.
Some common ways food-borne illnesses spread include:
Mishandling,
poor refrigeration,
improper cooking,
cross-contamination of cooked with raw foods,
unclean utensils and plates,
poor hygiene by food handlers,
and temperature abuse.
